Landon Noah O'Donnell
Hello,
My name is Landon Noah O'Donnell, and I am attending San Diego State University while participating in this online class; Travel 125.
When I am not in college, I am cooking at Sammy's Pizza and painting the exteriors of houses.
My ideal way to earn money would be to raise fish and livestock on a farm in New Zealand.
This semester is my last at the University, and I hope to make it my best academic semester yet. I would love to get 3 A's and 1 C. The C would come from a computer programming class that I have no passion for. In this TRAVEL 125 class, I hope to get an A or B!!
In 5 to 10 years, I would love to get out of San Diego and move to a mountainous, rural location such as the suburbs of Salt Lake City Utah, Boulder Colorado, Christchurch New Zealand, or Lake Tahoe California. For work in one of these locations, I hope to secure a property to raise fish and livestock. Another goal is to either maintain a sole proprietorship painting company called Noah's Ark Painting Projects, and/or operate a kayak, canoe, ski, and snowboard adventure rental company. All the locations I dream of living that are listed above have mountains and rivers, and they would be perfect for the rental company. The house values and percentage of owner occupied houses are above average the geographical advantage of living here would help the painting business thrive. I'm 25, and I think that it's very possible to become a millionaire.
After School, no more $10 an hour pizza cook wages. This is ridiculous.
Obtaining spiritual knowledge and truth is my unpaid life work that has eternal meaning and excitement. To support this, I pray, abstain from food for up to 40 days at a time to practice sacrifice, meditate, and talk to other people who have personal encounters with divine intervention. To support the spiritually conscious community of people on earth, I share my own accounts of unanticipated revelations.
My most recent vacation was to Charlottesville, Virginia. Charlottesville is one of the most beautiful places in the world. I was able to kayak Albemarle County's Rivana river in August 2013.

Landon,
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful dream you have. I am the grandson of a farmer and have lived in the country side of my country where my grandfather's farm is on school vacations. I was vegetable gardener when I was young in an industrial city (Tema, in Ghana). I believe you can make a lot of money on your own if only you will still hold on to this dream you have. As a guide, I took tourists to farms, and country sides to camp for days. You can find a way of adding tourism to your dreams. Am happy you would like to have a company of Painting on your own.
It is wonderful sharing this with us. You are welcome to TRV 125.
Emmanuel.
Landon,
ReplyDeleteYour 5-10 year plans sound fascinating! My husband was born in SLC, Utah and his brother lives in Boulder, CO. Both are wonderful spots.
My family also enjoys kayaking. This past summer we kayaked on the bay while vacationing at Bethany Beach.
I look forward to getting to know you better this semester.
Miriam Turner
Congratulations on finishing your degree. You seem like the outdoors type. The name of your future painting company is quite catchy, "Noah's Ark".

Hello Landon - What a coincidence that you are going to San Diego State! My sister is a SDSU graduate, and I moved to Arlington, VA after living in San Diego for several years. I share your passion about wanting to live and work in an area with beautiful mountains, rivers, lakes, and clean air. I am from Seattle, WA originally and love the beautiful outdoor scenery there. The mountains are spectacular, and the river rafting is fabulous! Hold on to your dream. I hope that you make it a reality after graduation!
ReplyDeleteLandon,
ReplyDeleteYour last vacation was to my home, I was born and raised in Charlottesville. I love this little city and I'm glad to hear you enjoyed your visit. You seem very passionate about your plans for the future, I wish you much success. Our family loves fishing as well, I'm not very good but I have fun doing it. I also fast occasionally, I haven't done a forty day fast yet; maybe I could get some tips from you. Good luck this semester.
